At the heart of all their messaging, Shaun Lee explores unbecoming as a concept both individuals and corporations can benefit from learning and implementing.
The art of unbecoming is a quiet rebellion—the shedding of roles, masks, and expectations that no longer serve the soul. It is not a loss, but a return—a peeling back of layers to reveal what is raw, real, and untamed. In unbecoming, we do not dissolve, we uncover. We step away from who we were told to be, and step into who we truly are. In essence, we have to ‘unlearn’ what was ‘given’ to us as we navigate this thing called life.
To unbecome is to unlearn the scripts we’ve been handed—the myths of success, gender, worthiness, power—and then to question who benefits from our compliance. It is a reeducation in intuition, a remembering of our body’s wisdom, our voice’s natural pitch, our own definitions of joy and freedom.
The art lies in the courage to strip down, not to nothing, but to essence. To unbecome is not an end—it is the threshold to becoming, again, but on your own terms.
Unlearning becomes our tool of liberation. It asks us to question the “shoulds,” challenge the scripts, and untangle ourselves from systems that defined our worth by how well we conformed. It is an active, ongoing dismantling—of gender norms, of success myths, of inherited shame. In this undoing, space opens up. Possibility enters. And what emerges is not a new version of ourselves, but a truer one—wild, sovereign, and deeply free.

Hi, I’m Shaun (They/Them)
I am thrilled and honoured you are here. Allow me to take you on a short journey.
I grew up in a ‘blended’ family with the patriarchal beliefs my parents grew up with, who then instilled them on the three of us ‘girls.’ Or at least they tried to.
“You should wear a belt with that,” my dad would remind me to cinch my waist because the ‘boys’ liked it.
“Keep your hair long.” The same reasoning.
“Are you dating?” The same reasoning (boys implied)
Of the three of us ‘girls’ I was the only one who completed a degree- which was imposed upon us as THE only option. Although careers were expected, we still knew they wanted us to get married and have children, because ‘that’s what you do.”
I’ve never been one to play by the rules, so my life’s journey has been to get ‘back’ to my true self. The lost little girl, Shauna-Lee was trying to find her way in a world that did not make sense. But it does now.
Let me introduce myself, again,
